Most notable in today’s DVD releases is the Ed Harris directed Appaloosa. An excellent Western that probably deserved more attention the film adds to Viggo Mortenson’s growing legacy as a screen bad ass. Seriously, the gun he carries is so long you could pole vault with it. Anyway, here are some highlights from Tuesday’s DVD new and re-releases!
The sixth season of Walker Texas Ranger also drops tomorrow. Awesome! I can just picture the anxious fans eagerly waiting in the 24-Hour Wal-Mart’s DVD department tonight counting down the minutes until midnight. Or as it’s more commonly known The Redneck New Year. What would be your reaction to browsing through someone’s DVD’s and discovering every season of Walker Texas Ranger?
Finally, Mail to the Chief receives it’s long awaited DVD release. Generally regarded as Disney’s best White House comedy not starring Sinbad, Mail to the Chief satirizes the Bush presidency with the inspired casting of Randy Quaid as President A. Thorton Osgood II. The films hardline politics turned off some critics upon release but all agreed they had truly seen a film for the ages.
Something tells me this won’t really be ‘The Final Chapter’. I mean, how could you possibly tell the story of the Amateur Porn Star Killer in only three installments?
Whoopi. Buy it and complete your collection. It’ll look amazing sitting on your shelf between Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit and How Stella Got Her Groove Back.
On something totally unrelated, does anyone know how to insert line breaks in Wordpress 2.7? See above for why I would find that information useful.
